Forest and Land Fire Hot Spots Reduced to 317, Operations in Prone Areas Remain Strengthened
The Ministry of Forestry emphasized that the decrease in the number of Hotspots is not yet a reason to relax the handling of forest and land fires. Every indication of a hot spot must still be verified through a ground check.
Extinguishing, wetting and cooling are also continuously carried out to ensure that the fire and embers below the surface are completely extinguished.
The integrated operation involved the Ministry of Forestry's Manggala Agni together with the TNI, Polri, BNPB, BMKG, BPBD, the Fire Care Community, the business world and various related parties.
The government also alerted 49 air fleet units, consisting of 32 units for water bombing operations and 17 units for patrols and Weather Modification Operations (OMC).
