Identifying the Needs of Rote Ndao Residents, Head of BNPPDT Visits the South Kilometer Zero Point
NTT, PENANUSA.id – Head of the National Border and Remote Area Management Agency (BNPPDT) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak is working on building the Indonesian Southern Kilometer Zero Point Monument in Rote Ndao Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This was conveyed by Maruli when visiting Indonesia's Southern Kilometer Zero Point in Rote Ndao.
According to him, the construction of the monument needs to go hand in hand with efforts to meet the basic needs of people in the border area. "Hopefully, at the same time as this monument is being built, we will also try to get roads, maybe clean water, and so on," said Maruli in his statement, Saturday, October 24 2026.
Maruli emphasized that efforts need to be made to ensure that this plan can be realized. He hopes that construction of the monument can begin in the first or second quarter of 2027.
"I won't talk too much. All you have to do is pray so that all of this can actually be realized. Hopefully we will work on the monument later, in the first or second quarter we can start," he said.
