Government Raises 2026 Home Renovation Target to 400,000 Units, Maruarar Sirait Reveals Subsidized Housing Program

JAKARTA, PENANUSA.id – The government has increased the target for the house renovation program from the previous 45,000 units to 400,000 house units by 2026.

"President Prabowo, last year we renovated 45,000 houses. This year it has been increased extraordinarily to 400,000 houses," said Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, Tuesday, October 27 2026.

Apart from house repairs, Maruarar said the government continues to expand access to home ownership through a subsidized housing program with a housing financing liquidity facility (FLPP) scheme.

The government is encouraging the implementation of this program so that more people can own homes through affordable financing schemes.

Ara, as he is known, said that the plan is to implement the fourth stage of the mass contract for subsidized housing in December 2026.
