Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk Presents the Cultural Figure Award at the 2026 PIKI Awards

JAKARTA, PENANUSA.id – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Ribka Haluk handed over the Cultural Figure award to Bambang Noorsena at the 2026 Indonesian Christian Intelligence Association (PIKI) Awards Night.

This award was received by Stephanus Aswar who represented Bambang Noorsena because he was abroad.

Bambang is an Indonesian theologian, philologist and historian as well as the founder of the Institute for Syriac Culture Studies (ISCS).

Rebekah said that culture is an important part of national identity which stores collective memory, language and values passed down from generation to generation.

Therefore, cultural preservation is an effort to maintain national identity while strengthening understanding of the course of history and life together.

"Caring for culture means caring for the roots, so that we know where we come from and where we are going together," he said at the Metro TV Studio, Jakarta, Sunday 25 October 2026.
