South Sulawesi Automotive Industry Prepares to Welcome GIIAS Makassar 2026

MAKASSAR, PENANUSA.id – Successfully greeting automotive lovers in Tangerang, Surabaya, Bandung and Semarang, the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) The Series 2026 exhibition series is ready to be held in Makassar City.

The largest automotive exhibition in Eastern Indonesia will take place on 28 October – 1 November 2026 at the Summarecon Mutiara Makassar Convention Center.

Holding GIIAS Makassar 2026 is an important opportunity for GAIKINDO to bring the latest automotive innovation and technology closer to the people of South Sulawesi, while strengthening its commitment to supporting the growth of the national automotive market.

The General Secretary of GAIKINDO, Kukuh Kumara, explained that South Sulawesi has a strategic role as an economic center and automotive gateway in the Eastern Indonesia region.

"South Sulawesi is one of the main pillars in the national automotive industry. Data as of July 2026 shows that this region is in seventh place as a contributor to national sales, with 20,061 units or around 4% of the total national market," said Kukuh.
